My Top 10 Beauty Tips To Staying stylish and Hydrated This Fall/winter.

1. Hair mask.

As the weather changes, it can cause your hair to become dull, dry and snap, that's because when hair faces cold, dry air it causes the cuticle layer of the hair to lift , and then going into a warm dryer environment it then sucks out the moisture which then leaves your hair dry and frizzy so I will always recommend a hair mask to keep your hair looking dull free.

2. Face Oil.

I use L'Oreal's extraordinary face oil every night before bed to keep my skin extra hydrated because your skin loses most of its water while you are sleeping; It is known to be more affective then your everyday over the counter moisturiser. Ill forever keep using a face oil as it isn't just amazing for hydrating, it is also perfect to use as a primer before applying makeup because the oil sits comfortably in areas on your skin that need hydrating. so it makes the perfect canvas. The smoother the skin he better your makeup application will look.

3. Lip scrub and Balm.

Always get a good lip scrub and balm to keep away dry lips, this is such a big problem around this time of the year and so many people carry pots of petroleum jelly in there handbags/pockets and continuously keep using it over and over till you lose count, but its suppose to be magic and work quickly. well... it wont because your actually trying to hydrate skin that is already dead so I recommend to use lip scrub to remove the dead skin cells before applying a lip balm.

I own 2 lip scrubs, one from LUSH cosmetics and the flavour is bubble gum when I mean flavour I do mean its edible and it actually tastes of bubble gum, it has lasted me for a while now and it smells great, its a great lip scrub it removes and replenish your lips.

The second lip scrub I own actually came in duo pack so you get the lip scrub and lip balm, this duo kit is from KIKO Milano cosmetics, this is my favourite because they both smell amazing as it reminds me of autumn/festive time as it smells like cinnamon and orange, this lip scrub is edible too and has a sweet taste to it.

4. Nail strengthener/buffer/polish.

I love a good nail strengthener and especially around the cold times my nails become so dry, brittle and ridged so quickly. I like to give my nails a good buff to smooth out the brittle/peeling and then I like to use OPI nail envy original, its the best nail strengthener I have ever used, it helps strengthens with wheat, protein and calcium for longer and stronger nails. It s a little pricey costing at £18.65 in Boots drugstore but you do get what you pay for and it is totally worth it.

I do use it as a base coat before following up with a pretty wintery nail colour like glitter gold, olive greens and coppers.

5. Make over your makeup.

Its always nice to have a change so why don't you spice up your make up style by experimenting with different eye shadow colours such as copper, browns, gold's or even sunset colours. Try different looks, different techniques try find something that's suits you! if your not that confident then ask a makeup artists at the make up counters to help you out.

6. Body Lotion.

Now not only does your face get dehydrated so does the rest of your body, so always stay hydrated with hand creams, my recommendation is Molton brown hand cream 40ml £10.00 from john lewis. This hand cream smells of ylang ylang and the consistency of the hand cream is thick but a little goes along way and keeps my hands hydrated for a long time its also non greasy.

My next recommendation for a body lotion called Aveeno Daily moisturising lotion

which is fragrance free I received a little sample sachet and I love it the texture of this product is silky and spreads thoroughly.

From any drugstore for £5-£6.

7. Feeling brave.

Try a dark BOLD lipstick and there is many shades to choose from to suit you, from purples, reds, black, blues and berry, bold lipsticks can be very flattering and can catch a lot of admirers.

My favourite colour lipstick for the fall are purple, I feel as it suits my skin colour and its also good to wear when you want a natural eye look.

8. Skin care.

I love a routine, especially a skin routine, In one of my previous blog posts I wrote about my personal routine and the products I use on a daily basis.

I recommend using a good cleanser, I use Dermalogica special cleansing gel every evening before bed to remove any bacteria that your face collected during the day.

A skin exfoliator is always essential if you want your skin smoother as it removes all the dry skin cells for a better appearance. (also for those who are concerned about wrinkles).

An everyday moisturiser is always a good idea, I use simple kind to skin hydrating light moisturiser to keep my skin topped up during the day.

9. Blushed.

As its getting colder your cheeks get pinker and that's because your blood vessels dilate which results in bringing warmth to your cold cheeks. So how about styling it up a bit with a cute blusher that is similar to your cheek colour to enhance your natural pink glow.

My favourite blusher that I use is Mac powder blush in the colour MELBA.

10. Go dewy.

With winter times you will always want your skin to have a healthy looking glow so I would recommend a dewy foundation,

I have seen and felt those type of foundations and don't get me wrong I would never knock a product until you try but I am a massive lover for matte foundations.

dewy foundations are more liquefied and leaves a natural luminous effect on the skin and if your a lover of highlighters add a little to the cheek bones to finish it off.

Best dewy foundation I've come across is MAC Face and Body Foundation.

What is you're fav tips this winter? Have you used any of the products above? please leave comments below. xo
