As a Beauty therapist its an essential that I keep my skin fresh and healthy looking specially when wearing make up on a daily basis.
I'm Trained in Dermalogica so OBVIOUSLY ill be using there brands on my face.
I've been using this brand for 5 years now and I can officially say I love it!
Dermalogica brands have such distinctive smells to there products as they pay more attention to the product as to what's going into it rather then the smell which I feel is a good thing so don't let that put you off.
I'm defiantly not a stranger to other skin brands either I've used many others such as Elemis which is fab I also use L'Oreal and Simple.
Now Dermalogica can be a bit pricey for some people especially when buying larger bottles separately, when you can actually buy a travel size kit online between £20-£25 which do go a long way, which includes a Pre-cleanse sachet, mini bottle of special cleansing gel, mini spray bottle of Multi-active toner, mini tube of skin smoothing cream, mini tube of gentle cream exfoliant and a tiny tube of intensive eye repair; this kit is for normal/dry which is the one I use but you can buy some for all skin types too.
My Routine!
Step 1: Makeup removal. (if wearing any at the time)
When removing makeup I normally use simple Micellar water/wipes.
To remove as much makeup as possible but don't worry about trying to wipe your makeup off on every white space on your wipe because the next part is when we cleanse.
Step 2: Cleanse.
I always cleanse twice because you never fully remove any makeup properly through make up wipes so I cleanse once to remove the rest of the makeup and then cleanse the second time so the base of my actual skin is clean too.
I use the Special Cleansing Gel from Dermalogica its a see through gel (which says in the name 'gel') but only put a 20p size as a small amount goes along way.
I then add a small amount of water and rub into my hands till its all bubbly, I then start to apply it in circles around my face, all over my neck and decollate, the creases of my nose.
Never worry about getting any on your eyes its friendly HONEST!, I then remove with lukewarm water and then repeat.
Step 3: The Toner.
Now your all probably wondering toner? what is toner?, listen here, this multi-active toner is clear in a spray bottle this is an amazing product that is a must have, it closes the pores that opens when cleansing your face, it decreases the chance of spots by blocking dirt from getting into those lovely pores.
You can do it in 2 ways and that is just directly spray it onto your face or spray onto cotton pads and apply all over the face and neck.
Me? I just spray directly onto my face/neck its quicker and I feel as if a lot more has gone onto my skin rather then he cotton pads!
Step 4: The Face cream.
After cleaning twice, toning, now you apply moisturiser, I use skin smoothing cream it literally says what it does 'smooth'. I don't know about you?, but my skin changes when the weather changes so when it comes to those winter times I get very dry skin especially round my nose and this moisturiser helps smooth out your skin, it magically makes that dry skin disappear within a week, so no panicking and buying 6 different moisturisers because each one says it does different things on the packet. Skin smoothing cream has it all in its wonderful, magical tube!.
You can always keep in your bag to re-apply when needed if you suffer with dry skin really bad as the tube is bag suitable!
