A girl's got to stay on top of her game to live life in the fast lane. Make some noise/ break some rules. But stay street smart with UBU Cosmetic Tools. -UBU (Urban Beauty United) xo

I recently entered a little competition on Facebook it was about who had the best brows and lucky me I actually won that competition. The prize was winning UBU (Urban Beauty United) cosmetic tools. Honestly I never heard of UBU before until I saw it advertised on Facebook, as it says on my 'about me' page you will know I'm always looking for the next best thing. After I entered the competition I did a little research about the brand, its cosmetics and what it actually has to offer for me as well as my blog readers and I can honestly say is that I'm shocked about how I have ever seen this brand before as they stock in Tesco's, Asda and Amazon when seeing where it was stocked I was a little biased at first as quite a few supermarkets sell cosmetics brushes and they turn out to be the worst thing ever. On they're website: http://urbanbeautyunited.com/ you can see what country and stores you can purchase from.

When I finally received my little package through the door I was excited as I was receiving free goodies, as I opened my package it was all wrapped safely and each individual cosmetic tool comes in a very strong package which was black and white, it also can be re-sealed if you don't want them to get dirty or damaged which I think is a pretty good idea.

Each Brush have its own cute name at the front and a 'How To' at the back of the packaging which I love because some people who may be starting out, these brushes are helpful if you may not know what to use and where. The description on the back of the packaging has added sense of humour.

The brushes have a white base with the UBU logo in black, the handles are a rose gold/bronze look and a beautiful bold neon pink. Brush prices vary from different stores but I would say prices are around £5.

The first brush I will be starting off with is the 'GLOW STICK' foundation brush in (NO.20), now I don't personally use foundation brushes as I use a beauty blender instead. (which UBU have in they're cosmetic tool range) The brush feels light and the bristles feel very soft. I haven't tried this brush but has the way the bristles separate into a fan shape while applying It to your face you can see it would spread lot of product around the face.

The second cosmetic tool I will be following up from is the beauty blender 'BLENDER BABY' I've used so many and I've only found one which is my favourite and that was Real Techniques so this was pretty exciting the fact I get to try out a new blender and it is latex free Whch is fantastic for people who are allergic to latex. The sponge was very hard but it says at the back to use a little water to soften the sponge, it states that IT DOES NOT LIKE OIL. The sponge has an hour glass shape an a little point at the end for the creases on the face.

The third Brush is the 'EYEMAZING' Tapered Blending Brush (NO.35) this brush is best for glitter or darker shadow. Its natural tapered/rounded head makes glitter/shadow all neat and keep in line with your upper eyelid crease. Although the bristles are synthetic its still very soft.

The fourth brush is the 'SMOOCHY SMOOTH' cream shadow brush (NO.38) ideal for cute cream shadows, cream based glitter or just a simple primer. best for packing on the colour by tapping/pressing the brush onto your eyelid for best results. To keep your brush lush and soft wash regularly with soap or shampoo, rinse & squeeze and lay flat to dry naturally.

The Fifth brush is 'KITTY SAINT FLUFF' smoothing brush (NO.23) this brush is kind of a multitasking brush its shape is ideal to blend out any uneven patches with its soft fluff back and forward across your eyelid crease, you just can never go wrong with this brush it is a definite favourite of mine. It can also be ideal for blending concealer and eye shadow primer but my personal opinion id stick to blending out the uneven areas.

The sixth brush is 'SMUDGE KITTEN' Domed Smudger Brush (NO.36) ideal for smudging for the best Smokey eyes, the brush bristles are very short but perky. For best results is to use a gel eyeliner and a powder shadow and start from the inner eye and outwards. I felt that the brush was a little bit rough on my eye lid.

The seventh brush is the 'DRAMA QUEEN' Eye Defining Brush (NO.31) its précised angled tip is ideal to apply liner or eye shadow for dramatic definition, personally I wouldn't use this for eyeliner as I use liquid liner that comes with its own tool that I prefer, so if I was going to use this id use it for eye shadow, using a darker shadow across my upper lash line.

Have you used any of the UBU cosmetics tools? What do you think of them? would you consider buy any? feel free to leave comments below. xo

This post was not sponsored, this is all my own review, These were not purchased only given through competition.
